You can get your message out to your target market using a press release distribution service.  A press release service not only can compose a valuable piece of information about your product, idea or event, but it also can distribute that information to tens of thousands of journalists from across the nation.  When you have a great product or an innovative idea or a cool event planned, then you want to get as much attention as possible.  A good press release can get a proper buzz going about you.  That buzz can translate into a newspaper story, radio ad or even a television interview that will promote your interests like no regular old advertisement.

An advertisement is something written about your business by you to market your business so that your business can make more money for you.  A press release, on the other hand, is a written statement directed to members of the media.  The idea is that when the media reads your written statement, a journalist will get interested in creating a story about you or your product.  When the journalist publishes her story about you, then you are, in essence, getting an advertisement.  The advertisement generated via a press release has more credibility than a mere advertisement on your website because it was written by an objective third party.  A press release distribution service can help make this all happen.

Multi-million dollar corporations have a seemingly endless budget for marketing and PR work.  They can pay tens of thousands of dollars for a PR firm to compose and distribute press releases about their own remarkable products and innovations.  Those press releases ensure that big business remains on top in sales and keeps their bottom lines healthy.  Smaller businesses, however, have to really work to keep in the black.  To grow, smaller businesses need tools to help them market their products in the most economical means possible.  A press release distribution service that charges a relatively small fee for getting news about your business out to the consumer is a good bet for small businesses with great ideas and smaller pocketbooks.

Press release distribution is an important part of the successful businesses’ marketing and PR plan.  If you want to grow your business, gain credibility in the public eye and make more money, then consider a press release service.  One good press release might be all that it takes to take you to the big time!

Press Release Distribution – Get The Message Out!

On the surface, there doesn’t seem to be too much of a difference between public relations and advertising.  They both deal with persuading the public, right?  However, there is one rather large difference.  Advertising isn’t entirely factual.  Advertising is built on deception by hiding the flaws in a product in order to promote the features.  Some ads will outright lie about a product.  Public relations rely on credibility.  Since credibility is built over time, being anything other than factual isn’t really an option.  This is why an effective press release distribution trumps even good advertising every time.

A press release distribution company has the contacts necessary to get your release out, and many of them will even write the release for you.  However, not all companies are created equal.  Some claim to have media contacts when they just have a list full of newspaper email addresses that spam usually goes to.  These types of contacts don’t do you any good.  As the adage goes, you get what you pay for, so it pays to go with a reputable company with real, solid contacts and a team of writers that will convey the message you want to send to the public.

Whether you have a product that needs selling, a point you wish to refute, or an upcoming product that you’d like to build interest in, a well written press release can get the things you want done in the way you want them done.  Choose your level of involvement and work with the press release distribution company to craft a release that will increase your visibility and potentially your sales.  Isn’t that what every business wants?  A press release that is targeted, concise, and to the point gets the job done just as good if not better than a wordy release full of long paragraphs.

Business owners need publicity to survive.  It lets the public know about their business, brings in new business, and keeps repeat business.  Contrary to the claim that “any publicity is good publicity,” there is such a thing as negative press.  Therefore, companies who want to project a positive image will use press releases to reiterate to the public all the good things they do.  In that sense, press releases are a form of advertising.  However, when companies with a track record of good work do the same thing, it is considered good public relations.  That’s the difference.  Good press release distribution gets the message you want out, and gets that message to the people who matter.

Press Release Distribution – Spin The Story The Right Way

One of the best things about a press release is that it acts as the “official statement” of a company.  Rumors, speculation, and criticism can all be put to rest with one press release distribution.  Therefore, if you’re a business owner, it’s in your best interest to utilize press releases as a way to attract the right attention while deflecting the wrong attention.  You can write the release yourself if you’re so inclined; however, there are services out there that would love for you to outsource your press release writing to them.  Let them do the work while you continue to control the message.

Negative press can kill a business; so can criticism without a response.  When a company is under fire, it needs to get the message out that it understands the criticism and is working on making things right.  Acknowledging the criticism lets the public know that the company brass knows that a problem with its product exists and is working on fixing that problem.  It’s better to do it yourself than wait for a deluge of negative press to hit.  Press release distribution companies pride themselves on writing effective releases that convey this to the consumers.

On the flipside, press releases can also act as company hype for a new product.  A carefully worded press release can do more for sales than a fully-featured ad campaign.  Whetting the public’s appetite for a product by listing a few of its features builds interest and just might push fence sitters over the edge.  The right press release distribution will increase awareness of the product as well, presumably introducing an entirely new group of people to the product.  This is what every company wants—artificially built demand for a product with a limited supply.  It increases sales and leaves the public wanting more.

Therefore, it makes sense to “spin” a press release to make it say what you want it to say.  What company doesn’t want to be seen in a positive light?  It’s always good for business.  Using press releases to deflect criticism and build interest in a product are two very basic ways to use them at their full potential.  The press release is a powerful tool, but it’s the press release distribution that makes them more powerful.  Getting the release in the right hands can turn the tide of negative press around or make already favorable press look like praise by comparison.
