What are the best colleges for public relations?

I’m looking into public relations as a major and I was wondering if there are any colleges out there that have an outstanding public relations major.
Good ? I have a B.S. in communications an I did a great deal of work related to PR…I would suggest thinking LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION…NYC, BOSTON, LA, SAN Fran…..go where the people need the PR…or if your looking at firms that needs PR major cities…the more population, the greater likely hood that one would need PR and therefore it might be easier for you to find a internship and or job! Good LUCK! It’s a big bad world out there! It’s not quite as easy as it seems!

Here’s my biased answer (I go to Syracuse University). SU’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications has a PR program that is among the best in the nation. Some say its among the top 3. I hear Maryland has a good program, too.

Do you have a particular area of interest (health, political, corporate, etc.)? If so, look at the faculty of schools you’re interested in to see if anyone’s doing anything cutting edge in that area. For example, at the University of Georgia (where I teach), we’re big into teaching and research on social media — among other things.
