Rupert Murdoch Admits He Tried to Shape Public Opinion on the Iraq War during an otherwise smug and elitist conversation at the DAVOS WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM which took place in January 2007.

Murdoch met in forum with host Charlie Rose, Israeli Vice Prime Minister (& Foreign Affairs Minister!) Tzipi Livni.

Also there was Rt Hon GORDON BROWN MP
Chancellor of the Exchequer in the UK– whom Charlie Rose announced during the meeting to be who “everyone expected to be the next Prime Minister.”

    Murdoch uses all …
Murdoch uses all his media outlets.. not just Fox News. For example, X-Files which aired on Fox from 1993 to 2002 just happened to coincide with Democrats heading the white house (Clinton era). From Wikipedia “The X-Files tapped into public mistrust of governments and large institutions, and embraced conspiracy theories and spirituality, ” I’d say that was Murdoch pushing his agenda.

    Journalism is meant …
Journalism is meant to be completely impartial and present the news from neither side. Or if they show one side, they have to show the other to make if fair and balanced.

99 percent of news channels do not do this – they selectively choose what to show and what to report, or present it in a way which alters the truth, if they have an agenda.

Sky and Fox news are the worst. I watch Fox news for comedy value lol but many Americans take it for fact :/

Watch George Galloway destroying sky news :)

    Murdoch said ” …
Murdoch said “opinion” not news. Which is perfectly fine. Thats why you have commentators and yes they state their opinions, but do not report actual news.

It used to work for …
It used to work for all Americans for 150 years. Every year everyone got richer. Not so since the 70′s..middle-class and especially the poor remain at stagnant wages or having even less then people had in the seventies. So to reach that A. dream people borrow, and they are hugely in debt.
The rest goes to the top. Lobbyists own politicians and they stormed right on during these last 8 years with Bush, who btw, borrored more money than all previous presidents put togheter. Its not sustainable.

  19. Hirnlego999 says:

    “workable …
“workable alternative to the UN and liberal internationalism.”
You’re nuts. Its already backfired with the economy going downhill and countries abandoning the US dollar. US dominance..get real, CIA predicts US will lose its sole world power status within 20 years.

    I’ve also been …
I’ve also been studying political movements similar to that of the neoconservatives throughout the 20th century, and I’ve learned that they enable a variety of things (these can range from social to foreign to economic policy) that I would like to see happen that are not possible under normal political settings.

Not that people like Murdoch would necessarily care about these issues. However they would enable some of these goals for purely political reasons.

  21. JohananRaatz says:

    “Ron Paul supporter …
    “Ron Paul supporter?”

    No

“Look up things like “Full spectrum dominance” or PNAC…”

I am well aware of both of those things. The Project for the New American Century appears to be the only workable alternative to the UN and liberal internationalism. It seems that internationalism is inevitable, which is bad because it also seems to be contrary to national sovereignty. Well PNAC found a way for us to have our cake and eat it too. Cheers to Bill Kristol for thinking that one up.

  22. JohananRaatz says:

    “And there are no …
“And there are no free markets. Every nation interferes with the economy.”

Well then just call it American mercantile hegemony. or whatever. In any case it’s a good thing.

  23. Hirnlego999 says:

    They would’ve …
They would’ve collapsed on their own.

And there are no free markets. Every nation interferes with the economy.

  24. Hirnlego999 says:

    Ron Paul supporter? …
    Ron Paul supporter?
Well, don’t get your hopes up high, since a lot of the right (and the left) have similar worldviews (both are infact based on same ideals, only more minor details differ), such as the new world order…whatever that really means, but they sure talk a lot about it.
Look up things like “Full spectrum dominance” or PNAC…

  25. JohananRaatz says:

    “{Read up on …
“{Read up on Operation Mockingbird. ..aaah.”

I know wasn’t it wonderful? The CIA has been great for destabilizing communist states throughout the world. You just have to love how efficiently they did it as well. Just think without the CIA many many more states would be communist and the success of the free market wouldn’t be anywhere near what it is now.
