What is the job market like in South Florida?

I am contemplating a move to the West Palm Beach area. I have a degree in finance and would like to work with the capital markets. I also would like to obtain my MBA from Florida Atlantic University. Are the career prospects good down there for someone with this plan?

I am not sure about in your field of choice but lived in Florida for 25 years. If you don’t live in Florida, getting a job immediately can be tough because they consider the state to be too transient. It took 6 months for me and I eventually had to go through Kelley Services as temp to get started. This is also a big ‘retirement’ area. so you might want to do some job searches first. Before I moved back to Texas, I started doing google searches for "jobs in xxxxx". That helped me decide where to come back to.
